City Council will hold a Public Hearing for City of Powell River Sustainable Official Community Plan 2370, 2014, Amendment Bylaw 2783, 2025 on December 4, 2025, at 7pm in the Council Chambers of City Hall.
As proposed, Amendment Bylaw 2783 is intended to accommodate the City’s 20-year housing need as required under Section 473.1 of the Local Government Act that requires a local government to align its official community plan with the findings from the most recent housing needs report received. Council received the City’s Interim Housing Needs Report at a meeting held on December 5, 2024.
