The City of Powell River wants to provide a clear direction to Council and staff by determining required improvements to the community facilities now and in the future. This architectural rehabilitation plan will make recommendations in facility improvements to accommodate changes to demographic and facilities usages.
The complex is the community hub of the region, delivering an enriched experience through many programs and services. Built in 1975, it is an aging building and requires upgrades. The Rehabilitation Plan will help us to prioritize improvements.
After completing stakeholder and public engagement sessions this past Winter and Spring, the first draft of the Powell River Recreation Complex Architectural Rehabilitation Plan is available for viewing and comments.
We welcome you to watch the presentation of the draft plan that was held on Tuesday, October 13th at the Committee of the Whole at https://powellriver.ca/pages/webcasts. You can also view the draft plan in our document library, located on the right hand side of the page.
If you have any comments and/or questions about the draft plan, please voice them below by November 30th.
