What cycling infrastructure improvements would you like to see in Powell River?

Our recent public engagement for the Parks and Trails Master Plan showed that 94 percent of respondents want to see more cycling and improvements to cycling safety.

A new $10,000 provincial Active Transportation Planning grant will help us advance our cycling plans from key connections identified in the parks master plan to specific cycling infrastructure designs.

PART 1:  "ROOM FOR IMPROVEMENT"

Use markers to identify locations that you think need special attention when designing the bike network.

Danger zones:  These are places that you identify as particularly risky for cyclists or other road users, or where perceptions of safety are particularly low.

Connection potential:  Identify places in the road and path network where useful connections could be added. These locations can be on-street or off-street. 

Destinations:  Identify key destinations for active travel.
