Skills development programs at our recreational facility
Increasing the structure seems redundant if organization skills are terrible! Group events are lame! No food available! Skills advancement programs? Investing into skills development is far more important than expanding the building! Youth skills are more important than waisting money on a brand new building! Environmental skills tickets and trades skills could be dealt with in this facility! Like Diving ,harness training , confined space, search& rescue courses or safety skills for example would help both with utilizing the facility! And getting people involved with the recreational resources would inevitably become increasingly popular with the extra traffic!

Updated Bylaws needed to enforce mandatory clean up of residential yards.
Several homes along Joyce Avenue especially cluttered with junk in the front yards, hedges and shrubbery overgrown to the point that these overgrown hedges along sidewalks are interfering with city sidewalks and obstructing the view esp on corners for drivers! Joyce and Jasper intersection is an obvious example. It’s really sad to see that some homeowners just simply don’t clean up. If the homeowner’s need assistance with clean up, for whatever reason, perhaps we could develop a program to assist? We live in a beautiful community and I am confident we could make it safer and more beautiful for everyone who lives here or visits!

Streetlights that do not obliterate the lights of the night sky.
Are there lights that are safe that can be installed lower to the ground? Looking up in Powell River, especially downtown, can be hard on the eyes with those bright street lamps. And it puts a real damper on stargazing in the urban areas.

Road repairs as mayor acknowledged during our last election. To date “still” no repairs for our roads with extra “Thin” asphalt !!! When ?
