Parking is available in the gravel parking lot as a primary location with additional parking available on the grass if needed. Please see the map for more detail.

Pacific Coastal – No disruption to services. 

Oceanview Helicopters/BC Wildfire/Weather Office/Gaoshi - No disruption to services.

Westview Flying Club/ J3 Holding Corp – Operations will be disrupted but both entities have been informed and airport staff are coordinating required movement of aircraft/equipment as required to minimize the impact. 

Budget Car Rentals –  No airside impact, but impacted groundside as the car fleet will be repositioned. No disruption to business.

Fire/Ambulance/RCMP – Updated airside access information will be provided once the schedule of works is confirmed.

Inbound Flying traffic – Will be notified by NOTAM.

This paving project is fully funded by an external grant from the Community Economic Recovery Infrastructure Program (CERIP). 

The airport's asphalt parking lot, Taxiway-Bravo and the general aviation apron have deteriorated, and will continue to deteriorate, which may eventually impact the safety of airport users. The CERIP grant funding is available for the City to utilize until June 30, 2025 when it would otherwise expire. The City is taking this opportunity to rehabilitate and improve the condition of these assets to the same high standard as the new runway and lighting in recognition of the safety and economic benefits that this project encourages. Furthermore, airport improvements are necessary for the long-term sustainability of the airport and the continuity of services, potentially leading to increased passenger capacity and cargo opportunities.
